THE BUSINESS MODEL
What Is Private Label Cookware?
Private label cookware is made by a manufacturer and sold under your brand. Instead of developing a new shape from the beginning, you choose from the manufacturer’s existing models and add your own branding. Buyers also use the term white label cookware. In a manufacturing discussion, “ODM” may describe a similar route based on existing designs, though the exact scope should always be confirmed in the quotation.
This route gives importers, distributors, retailers and growing brands a practical starting point. The model already has a production path, so you can focus your brief on material, size, finish, logo, handle and packaging. It also avoids the tooling investment associated with a new body shape. You still need to approve the exact sample and specification before a production order; a catalog photo alone is not a final technical drawing.
At Changwen, private label starts with a real model from our range. We confirm what can be changed on that model, where the logo can appear, and which packaging and handle options are available. If your project needs an entirely different silhouette or dimension, we review it under custom design and new tooling.
CHOOSE A MATERIAL LINE
Private Label Cookware We Make
Every model in our catalog can be considered for private label. Choose the product type first, then confirm its construction, dimensions and brand options with our team. The three material lines serve different price points, cooking preferences and destination markets.
Stainless Steel Cookware
Our core line covers frying pans, stock pots, saucepans, casseroles and coordinated cookware sets. Discuss single-layer or multi-layer construction, handle style, lid type and finish for the models you select.
Stainless steel gives a familiar, durable range for brands that want everyday cooking products. Available options vary by model, so use the exact product reference when requesting a quotation.
Aluminum Cookware
Pressed and cast aluminum offer different routes to the cookware body. Our aluminum range includes frying pans, stock pots and cookware sets. The chosen construction, wall thickness and surface treatment should match your target product brief.
Share the intended cooking surface and destination market so we can review coating and test documentation for the selected model.
Titanium Cookware
We distinguish pure titanium cookware from stainless steel cookware with a titanium coating. They are different products: the first describes the body material, while the second describes a surface on a stainless steel body.
Tell us which route you mean and what performance, finish and price position you want. We will review available models and relevant product-specific evidence.

MAKE THE MODEL YOURS
What You Can Customize
Private label changes the presentation of an existing model while preserving its proven body shape and dimensions. Tell us where your brand needs to appear and how the finished product will reach the shelf or online customer.
Logo
Your logo can be placed on the cookware body, lid and handle, subject to the available marking area on the chosen model. Laser engraving and embossing are the two methods to discuss. We confirm position, size, contrast and feasibility from your artwork before the sample is approved.
Packaging
We can prepare packaging for your brand, including the retail presentation and shipping carton requirements in the approved brief. Send your artwork, required languages, barcode information and any importer labeling instructions early. Packaging proofs should be checked together with the product sample.
Handle
Choose the handle style, material and color from options available for the model. Handle compatibility matters for comfort, attachment, oven-use claims and the look of a coordinated set. Confirm the exact approved handle in the sample record.
What stays fixed: The shape and size come from our existing designs. If you require your own shape or a dimension we do not offer, see Custom Design & New Tooling, available for large-volume orders.

FROM SELECTION TO SHIPMENT
How Private Label Works
Keep one approved version of the product brief through every stage. That makes the logo location, handle, packaging and final inspection criteria clear to both teams.
- 01
Choose your models
Browse the product range and tell us the model references, material, sizes and quantity per model. If you are building a coordinated set, identify which pieces must share a handle, lid or finish. Your destination market helps us identify the relevant labeling and document questions early.
- 02
Receive your quotation
We reply within 24 hours to review your request. The quotation should define the selected model, minimum quantity, sample scope, branding, packaging, payment terms and estimated timeline. Ask us to list any option that still needs technical confirmation.
- 03
Confirm your branding
Send vector logo files where possible, specify the logo location and whether you prefer laser engraving or embossing. Provide packaging artwork and the handle option you want. We review the files against the available marking area and sample specification.
- 04
Approve the free sample
We make the sample within 2 weeks after the brief is confirmed. There is no sample charge; you cover the shipping cost. Check dimensions, finish, handle and lid fit, logo execution, packaging and any critical product detail. Record revisions and approve the final sample before paying the production deposit.
- 05
Produce, inspect and ship
Production normally takes 40–60 days after deposit and sample approval. Our process includes incoming material checks, in-process quality checks and final inspection before loading. We support export documents and container loading according to the agreed shipment plan.

THE PEOPLE AND PRODUCTION BEHIND YOUR BRAND
Why Brands Choose Changwen as Their Private Label Manufacturer
Own factory since 2002. Our 80,000 m² factory is located in Jiangmen, one of Guangdong’s major stainless steel production bases. Work with a team that can discuss the selected model, manufacturing route and production plan directly.
Production scale. Monthly output exceeds 700,000 cookware pieces across our stainless steel, aluminum and titanium lines. Automated production lines help us manage repeatable work, while the confirmed capacity for your order still depends on the model and schedule.
Quality control at every stage. Incoming material inspection, in-process inspection and final inspection before loading provide review points from components to packed goods. Your approved sample and written specification define what the finished order should match. See our quality control process.
Compliance documentation. Our quality system is certified to ISO 9001:2015, and the company has completed BSCI and Sedex audits. Product testing addresses LFGB, U.S. FDA food-contact requirements and EU Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004. Ask for the current test reports that apply to the exact product line, material and destination market. Review certifications and testing and reports.
Export coordination. Our export team works with buyers in multiple countries and regions. Share your destination, carton requirements and requested trade terms so the document and loading plan can be reviewed before shipment.

BUILT FOR B2B BUYERS
Who Private Label Is For
The same manufacturing route supports different commercial models. What changes is the range structure, packaging, forecast and documentation your team needs.
Importers and distributors
Build a cookware range under your own name while coordinating sizes, cartons and replenishment by market. Send a realistic forecast by model so we can discuss the order schedule and assortment together.
Retailers and supermarket chains
Develop own-brand cookware that fits a shelf plan and packaging standard. Share artwork rules, barcode placement, labeling languages and approval procedures alongside the product selection.
Online sellers and e-commerce brands
Use existing models to start with a manageable MOQ. Specify packaging protection, product dimensions and the information needed for accurate online listings; approve the product and pack before the first production run.
New cookware brands
Test a focused range without investing in a new body design. Start with the pieces your customers understand, establish a consistent brand presentation, and consider new tooling only when the volume and design case justify it.
PICK THE RIGHT ROUTE
Private Label vs Custom Tooling
Choose the route based on what must be unique. If your product can use an existing body shape, private label is the simpler starting point. If the shape or dimensions are essential to your brand, send drawings and projected volume for an engineering review.
| Decision | Private Label | Custom Design & New Tooling |
|---|---|---|
| Design | Choose from existing models | Start from your own design |
| MOQ | 1,000 pcs per model | Large-volume orders |
| Logo, packaging, handle | Available options can be specified | Specified during engineering review |
| Shape and size | Existing model | New tooling for a new form |
| Best fit | Importers, distributors, retailers and newer brands using a proven model | Buyers with a defined design and volume to support development |

A BETTER FIRST ORDER
How to Build a Private Label Range That Is Ready for Production
A strong first order is specific enough to quote, sample and inspect. These decisions help avoid revisions after the sample is approved.
Start with a focused assortment
Select the pieces that match your customer and sales channel before expanding into every available size. A frying pan, saucepan and stock pot may give a clear opening range; another buyer may need a coordinated boxed set. List each model separately, because the 1,000-piece minimum applies per model rather than to the total mixed order. If you want several finishes or packaging versions, identify those variants in the first brief so quantities can be checked correctly.
Provide reference photos when a catalog model looks close but is not identical to your target. Tell us which details are essential and which are flexible. That helps the team distinguish an available private label option from a design that would require new tooling.
Define the product before the packaging
Confirm material, body construction, size, lid, handle and cooking surface. For a set, verify that the component specifications belong together. Your packaging should then describe the approved product accurately, including dimensions, material claims and care instructions. Share any retailer manual or market-specific labeling checklist before artwork is finalized.
Do not use the sample only to judge appearance. Handle attachment, lid fit, surface finish and the feel of the product are part of the buying decision. A written approval record gives both teams a reference for production and future reorders.
Match documents to the exact item
Food-contact requirements vary with material, coating, components and country of sale. A report for one model or component does not automatically cover another. Identify your destination market and ask which current documents apply to the specific cookware in your order. Where the importer or retailer has its own testing protocol, send it before the sample is locked.
The same discipline applies to branding claims. If the packaging promises a particular construction, coating or use condition, confirm that the selected model and its supporting records match that promise before printing.
Plan backward from your launch date
Allow time for model selection, quotation, artwork review, sample production, sample shipping, buyer approval, deposit, 40–60 days of production and international transport. The 40–60-day window begins after deposit and sample approval; it does not include freight. Tell us your target delivery date and destination so the quotation can show realistic milestones.
For repeat orders, keep the approved sample, product specification and packaging artwork under version control. If a handle, logo location or carton changes, record the change explicitly instead of assuming it will follow the previous order.
BEFORE YOU SEND YOUR INQUIRY
Questions to Settle with Your Buying Team
Decide who will approve the cookware and who will approve the packaging. In some companies these are different people, and waiting for the packaging decision can delay an otherwise ready product. Ask your buying team to agree on the main material, target selling price, preferred sizes and sales channel before requesting samples. The manufacturer can then recommend models that fit the actual buying brief rather than sending an unfocused list.
Confirm whether your brand needs a single piece, a multi-piece set or both. Set contents affect the number of lids, handles and cartons, so they should be described precisely in the request. If you want a colorway or finish across several products, specify the color reference and which components must match. For online sales, decide what the retail package must protect during parcel delivery; for store distribution, provide shelf and labeling requirements.
Ask your compliance or import team for the destination-market checklist before approving artwork. A material claim, coating claim or food-contact statement should be checked against the exact product and its current documents. If a retailer asks for additional testing, send its protocol as part of the inquiry. This lets the sample and document review follow the same specification.
Finally, name one person who can consolidate comments on the sample. A single revision list is easier to assess than separate messages about the lid, logo and carton. Once the final version is approved, keep the signed specification and artwork files together with the purchase order. That record helps inspection and gives future repeat orders a clear starting point.
