The key decision is whether your product can begin with an existing cookware form or needs a new shape. Both routes still require a clear specification and an approved sample.
Private label
Use an existing form as the starting point, then define the specification, branding and packaging. Ask which requested changes fit the existing construction and which would require additional tooling.
Custom tooling
Choose this route when the form or critical product features cannot be achieved with an existing design. Budget and schedule should account for engineering, tooling and sample revisions.
Compare before you commit
- How different must the final product be?
- Who owns the drawings and tooling?
- What samples and tests are needed for approval?
- What quantity and launch date are realistic for the agreed scope?
