A distinctive cookware shape may call for new tooling rather than changes to an existing form. Start with the design goal and functional requirements so the technical scope can be assessed before cost or timing is agreed.
What to define
- Drawings, dimensions, capacity and any critical tolerances.
- Material, construction, finish and performance requirements.
- Handle and lid interfaces, packaging constraints and target volume.
Agree the tooling terms
Request written confirmation of tooling scope, ownership, revisions, sample approvals, storage and repeat-order arrangements. Tooling cost and lead time depend on the approved design. If an existing form can meet the brief, private label cookware may be a simpler route.
